Prayers... I just have to say God Answers Prayers. I already have a page full of prayers that have been answered. I have been journaling again and have a whole section on "God sightings". As we continue through this process we ask that you continue to pray. Praying for Joy and her foster parents and the Orphans in her school. Pray that God would continue to open the doors financially and emotionally as we walk in faith. We are bending, stretching and are way out of our comfort zone, but we are trusting in His promises.
Philippians 4:4-9, 19-20
4 "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. 20 To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen."
Family and friends and their support, prayers and love have just been amazing! Meeting other families who have adopted and are in the process themselves is such an important community of friends! I pray one day I can also be on the "other side" of this whole process and can help other families in their journey. But for now, I am praying for so many more families who have adopted and are struggling or exhausted in their walk. I know it is work. And we just have to know that it is all worth it!
Pray. God will hear, even if you say "I don't know what to pray." or "I have nothing left to give." Jesus will interpret what needs to be said or done and take it from there. :)
Praying for you and your family as you are on this wonderful but also scary journey. This is incredible what you and Joel are taking on and your rewards will be plentiful.
